いきましょう! (let's go)

525,600 minutes, 525,000 moments so dear. 525,600 minutes
How do you measure a year? In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee?.

in inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife?.

In 525,600 minutes
how do you measure a year in the life?
How about love?  Measure in love. Seasons of love.

well 7days ago my year has started , it started all with the hardest part ,
saying goodbye to my family and believe me, its even harder then you can imagine.
after a 6 hour flight we arrived in Dubai and we met the spanish and the swiss people.
after the longest flight of my live (it took !15 hours!) we went to the AFS orientation camp,
we met all the exchange students and get all the information you needed about the exchange.
after that we met our host families, some people had to travel by train or airplane , fortunately mij host parents where nearby so they picked me up from the camp, after that we lunched near their house , and I ate my favorite dish ramen :-) (and gyoza dumpling)

this hole week has been pretty bussy for me I went to the immigration office and to my highschool (which is pretty huge)
also i met my host cousins and my host grandparents ,in Japan you call your grandparents
ji ji-san /oji-san(grandfather) and baba-san/obaa-san they are very nice ^__^,
they are helping me a lot with the language.
my host brothers are really cute but i have to say a lot abunaiyo , that means watch out cause they are alway running around ,
they are  pretty noisy but I really really really like them.

this is a short post , just to let you know how I am doing , I am not sure how much i will post
enjoy the other  picture, matanee <3

36 days left

Hi everyone,

36 days left just wow , it is only two weeks ago when i got my placement and my host family,
it is pretty weird haha.
But after that ,suddenly everything became more realistic like you knew you are going to Japan but now you know were you are going to live, what your host family is like, the name of your higschool made it even more realistic. Also my goodbye party made it even more realistic, it was a surprise from my mom (how sweet^^) she contacted al my friends(even old friends !!) and my familie and asked if they would like to come to my goodbye surprise party.
They prepared my goodbye party while I was at my work ,
first I was really shocked but also really happy that everyone was their for me haha i had a great party xD

introduction

Konichiwa
My name is Laura ,
I am 15 years old and from the Netherlands,
I am going to japan as an exchange student for a hole year (yhea...take your time ....)
You may ask yourself  why the blog title is' a japanese live of a panda' instead of laura in japan or something like that...well the main reason was that I wanted something different I guess.. also some people told me I look like a panda ... ya ...dunno why they say that though haha ^^

why Japan?
It all started with anime and manga (Japanese comics) after that I felt in love with the hole culture (shrines ,landscape ect)
A friend of my sister went to Japan a few years ago and i thought why shouldn't i go too ?
so my mother and I went to a few exchange organizations and ended up with AFS.
Its a exchange organization that offers exchange all around the world(pretty awesome huh ?) .

host family :
I am going to live with my host mom and dad , also I am going to have 2 little brothers ( 8 and 6 years)
and my home town will be Chiba city( 40km away from Tokyo)

I hope you will follow my adventure sayonaraa  <3
